Tasted by Luis Gutiérrez on October 31, 2019: "The polished and developed 2017 Catena Alta Malbec has balsamic aromas and a very pretty mix of flowers, berries and spice. It shows restrained ripeness for a hot vintage, with a serious profile, medium body and fine-grained tannins with good grip. It was fermented in whole clusters and aged in used French oak for about 18 months. I like the austerity and grip on the palate. 150,000 bottles were produced. It was bottled in October 2018."
