- VINTAGE : Champagne Volupté 1er Cru Extra-Brut
- VINIFICATION : Manual harvest with sorting. Traditional Coquard press. Selection only of the Cuvée (first juice of the pressing). Vinification of the "lieu dit solaire des Chênes" in half muid and of the "lieu dit minéral des Tourne midi" in enamelled steel vats. Malolactic fermentation avoided.
- TASTING AT THE DOMAIN : Champagne with golden reflections and a fine and light foam. On the nose, exotic fruits (pineapple, lychee, grapefruit) mingle with a delicate minerality, to bring a real purity. The silky and refined mouth reveals a remarkable structure, punctuated with delicate aromas of brioche or fresh butter. The objective of this Champagne Volupté is to offer, each year, the most beautiful expression of Chardonnay from the Cumières terroir. The limestone on which the Chardonnay vines are grown, gives this Champagne all the elegance, finesse and minerality of this variety.
CERROIR : Very chalky with a low layer of topsoil. Selection of the most beautiful plots of Chardonnay from the Cumières terroir. 50% of the Chênes plot, facing south east (great expression of fruit). 50% of the Tourne midi plot, west facing (purity of minerality). Average age of the vineyard : 35 years
