• Serving: Château Pontet-Canet is generally served at a temperature of 16 to 18 degrees Celsius. Before tasting, we recommend that you let the wine breathe for a while, to allow it to open up and release its aromas. You can use a decanter to speed up this process, gently pouring the wine into the decanter to separate any deposits from the bottom of the bottle.
• Tasting: When tasting Château Pontet-Canet, you can start by observing the wine's color. This wine generally has an intense dark red color with purple highlights. Next, you can smell the aromas emanating from the glass. Château Pontet-Canet often presents aromas of black fruits such as blackberries and blackcurrants, as well as hints of licorice, spices and cedar. On the palate, this wine is generally powerful, complex and well-balanced, with firm tannins and good structure. It offers remarkable length on the palate, and may prove even more enjoyable after a few years' bottle ageing.
