Domaine de Beaurenard 1995
Châteauneuf du pape
93/100 Wine Spectator
"Ripe and ripe, with lots of plum, rhubarb and blackberry, followed by mineral, rose petal, tobacco and sweet licorice notes. Silky tannins support the finish, where dark fruit notes linger pleasantly. Very fresh"
THE TERROIR
Châteauneuf-du-Pape is characterized by its diversity of soils. It is a mosaic of planted parcels, on limestone soils, rolled pebbles, on a background of clays more or less loaded with iron, and safres (fine sands).
VARIETIES
65% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, 10% various grape varieties allowed to perfect the famous symphony of the 13 grape varieties.
VINIFICATION & MATURING
Hand-picking, sorting of the harvest in the vines, co-fermentation, long vatting allowing a delicate extraction. Maturing for 12 months (truncated cone-shaped vats, foudres, barrels).
TASTING
Domaine de Beaurenard’s flagship wine is a quintessential blend, reflecting all the diversity of the terroir and the perfect synergy that exists between the soils and the grapes. It offers a supple and refined texture associated with a delicate aromatic palette that is the result of a constant quest for freshness.
