Clos des Menuts 2006
Saint Emilion Grand Cru
Label in poor condition, however, the wine is in very good condition.
Clos des Menuts is an emblematic wine of the Saint-Émilion appellation, produced from a historic vineyard located in the immediate vicinity of the village and its famous limestone slopes. Made primarily from Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc, it is distinguished by its generous and harmonious style, offering aromas of ripe black fruit, plum, and slightly spicy notes. Its supple and elegant structure makes it an approachable wine in its youth while retaining excellent aging potential.
With time, Clos des Menuts develops a deeper aromatic complexity, blending nuances of undergrowth, fine leather, and candied fruit, characteristic of the great wines of Bordeaux's Right Bank. Its balance between roundness, freshness, and integrated tannins makes it a bottle appreciated both for immediate enjoyment and for lovers of mature wines.
