Are you searching for wine : Clos St Jean Sanctus Sanctorum 2010 Châteauneuf du Pape ?
100/100 Parker: perfect vintage
When to drink this wine? Can be drunk now or cellared for over a decade.
The 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Sanctus Sanctorum is the most classic in style, but it's no less exuberant and decadent in every way. It offers heavenly aromas and flavors of crème de cassis, black raspberry, ground spices, sweet licorice and roasted herbs, and is massive, voluptuous, layered and incredibly pure on the palate. If you love Grenache, you can't get much better than this.
Clos Saint Jean Sanctus Sanctorum Châteauneuf-du-Pape is an exceptional cuvée, rare and precious, embodying all the majesty of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. Made exclusively from old Grenache vines, this wine reveals incomparable power and depth. Produced from carefully selected plots, it is the fruit of meticulous know-how and an exceptional terroir. To serve, we recommend decanting at least two hours before tasting, to allow its complex aromas to fully develop. Ideally, serve at a temperature of 16-18°C to enjoy its refined nuances.
When tasted, this wine offers a unique sensory experience. The nose reveals intense aromas of ripe black fruits, sweet spices and garrigue, with subtle notes of cocoa and licorice. On the palate, it seduces with its velvety texture, imposing structure and perfectly integrated tannins. The remarkably long finish expresses all the richness of its terroir. As far as the organic label is concerned, the Clos Saint Jean estate has adopted environmentally-friendly practices, but this specific cuvée is not certified organic. This is a wine for laying down, which will blossom even more with several years in the cellar.
