Location : The production area of the Premiers Crus of Nuits Saint Georges is divided into two zones, one in the north of the commune and the other in the south. This Premier Cru des Porets Saint Georges is located in the South of the commune, in the heart of the Premiers Crus, on a soil with a light structure which produces supple and generous wines. The selected parcel is located at mid-slope and benefits from an excellent eastern exposure.

Vintage 2008 : After a classical beginning of the year, followed by a summer in half-tone, a cold wind settled at the beginning of September accompanied by a generous sun, which allowed the grapes to ripen quickly. The harvest took place at the end of September in order to harvest fully ripe grapes. Aged in oak barrels for 16 months.

Tasting : Dark ruby color. Aromas of small ripe black fruits with notes of spices and chocolate. A slight touch of vanilla. Generous, complex and dense. Beautiful texture. Very pure fruit. Firm and stylish tannins. Subtle oak. Very good persistence.

Food pairing : Grilled meat or meat in sauce and all kinds of cheeses (especially regional cheeses - Epoisses, Langres, Citeaux).
