Margaux - 2nd Grand Cru Classé
When to drink this wine Old vintages to drink or collect.
Château Durfort Vivens and its old vintages offer a rich, nuanced sensory experience.
Tasting notes : The nose opens with bewitching aromas of ripe blackcurrants, juicy plums and subtle hints of leather. On the palate, complexity emerges with deep flavours of black fruit, tobacco and truffle. The exceptionally elegant tannins provide a firm yet silky structure, giving way to a long finish with delicate hints of liquorice. Grape variety: Château Durfort Vivens, rooted in the Bordeaux tradition, is based on a meticulous blend. The main grape variety, Cabernet Sauvignon, gives the wine its power, structure and complex aromas. Merlot, with its fleshy character, contributes roundness and suppleness, while Petit Verdot adds a spicy, aromatic touch.
