Château Feytit Clinet - Pomerol
Château Feytit Clinet is a 6.5 hectare vineyard within the Pomerol appellation. Over the years, its wine has become a sure value of the appellation.
What are the specificities of Château Feytit Clinet?
The history of the estate began in 1825, when it belonged to a member of the de Gombault family. Today and since 2000, the Chasseuil family has taken the helm of Château Feytit Clinet and immediately began to change things for the better on this right bank property. The Château has rethought its cultivation practices and today the culture in lutte raisonnée is practised on the vineyard.
The wines of the Château stand out thanks to its sublime terroir of gravel on clay not far from Latour and Clinet. A beautiful neighbourhood.
The vineyard offers in tasting a wine made up of:
- Merlot 90%
- Cabernet Franc 10%
To produce the wine of Château Feytit Clinet, after two sorting operations before and after destemming on two successive tables, the vinification of Château Feytit Clinet is made in seven small 46 hectolitre concrete fermentation vats and two temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. The wine remains on its lees for several months, giving it richness, colour and depth. The wine is then aged in new French oak barrels (70-80%) for 16-18 months before bottling.
In order to best express the quality of its terroir, the estate produces a second wine, "Les Colombiers de Feytit Clinet".
