Château de Fieuzal 2005
Pessac-Léognan - Cru Classé de Graves
94/100 Parker
Drinking window: 2015 - 2040
Probably the best Fieuzal I've tasted in many years, the 2005 vintage boasts a deep purple color and a sumptuous nose of charcoal, graphite, blackcurrant, cherry, and earthy notes. The palate, medium to full-bodied, is particularly rich, supported by ripe tannins and a multidimensional texture.
This is a remarkable wine and a great success for the château. Best enjoyed over the next 25 years, or even longer.
