Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Aux Beaux Bruns 2016 - Ghislaine Barthod
(89 - 91)/100 Parker
Maturity: 2020 - 2030
By Neal Martin in 2017: "The Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Aux Beaux Bruns 2016 has only six barrels this year, half the normal production, with a third of new oak. It has a relatively light bouquet for a Beaux Bruns, gradually unfolding with red fruits, something almost ferrous, with scents of blackberries and berries emerging on aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins. I find this Chambolle harmonious."
The cuvée: Another of the most important 1er cru estates in Barthod, totalling 0.73 hectares. The average age of the vines is over fifty years. We comment at each tasting on the reliability, conviviality and generosity of this cuvée.
