Chambolle-Musigny 2015 - Ghislaine Barthod
(90 - 92)/100 Parker
Aging capacity: 2019 - 2030
By Neal Martin in 2016: "The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny Village, which contains about 20% new oak, has a crisp bouquet of black cherry and raspberry fruit, tight at first but blossoming with open arms upon aeration. The palate is simply wonderful: super fine tannins, a killer line of acidity, a bit of crunch in the texture, but with immense purity on the finish. The saline touch rounds out one of the best village vintages I've tasted in my visits."
The cuvée: The Chambolle Musigny village of Ghislaine Barthod is harvested on a series of wine-growing sites spread across the width of Chambolle, covering a total area of 1.24 hectares. This mix of soil types and exposures produces a classic Chambolle, truly representative of the terroir of this village.
