Brut nature Rosé - Edition Starck 2015 - Louis Roederer
From the estate
Ageing potential : 2022 - 2035
Tasting note: The Brut Nature Rosé comes from biodynamically farmed vineyards in Cumières, and is the first time Roederer has released a rosé without dosage. Offering aromas of warm bread, orange zest, red berries, oyster shell and rose petals, the wine is crisp and incisive, with racy acids and a tight mineral core, complemented by a precise mousse. It finishes saline and penetrating, which will relax with a few years in the bottle, though true to the ambitions behind it, it will always remain a more minimalist expression of champagne. This is a blend of 55% pinot noir, 25% pinot meunier and 20% chardonnay, with the hue coming from cold infusion, prior to pressing, of a small percentage of the blend's pinot noir.
