Geology of the soil: Clay-siliceous on iron dross and old sand on clay
Planting density: 6,000 to 8,000 vines per hectare
Vineyard cultivation: By ploughing or grassing without the use of herbicides.
Since 1996, the vines have been cultivated using integrated, reasoned agriculture - AFAQ-AFNOR certification since 2005 - as part of a sustainable economy - Terra Vitis Charter. In 2010 the entire vineyard was cultivated organically and in 2013 we obtained the "Organic Wine" certification. Organic Wine" certification. Since 2018, test plots have been cultivated biodynamically.
Green harvesting: debudding, de-leafing, thinning out of the leaves, pruning, thinning.
Average yield: 35 to 40 hl/ha
Harvesting : Manual harvest in crates with 5 successive sortings
Vinification: Different operations depending on the plot of land and the vintage:
multiple small pump-overs, delestage, punching down.
Ageing: 40 to 60% new barrels, 35 to 50% one-wine barrels depending on the vintage.
Bottling: 21 months after the harvest
Annual production: 70 000 to 100 000 bottles depending on the vintage
