Champagne Henriot Brut Blanc de Blancs
Direct from the estate
93/100 Wine Spectator
Tasting note: "Rich and toasty, this is a classic Blanc de Blancs, with firm acidity, a creamy, refined texture and flavors of hazelnut, toasted brioche, apple pastry, lemon meringue, ground spice and subtle, smoky mineral. A finely crafted wine."
Presentation of the cuvée: The Blanc de Blancs Henriot is the keystone of the Henriot style, both mineral and complex. It bears witness to the House's virtuosity in working with Premiers and Grands Crus and to its history, which is closely linked to the great Chardonnay terroirs. The majority of the wine comes from the Premiers and Grands Crus of the Côte des Blancs, including the villages of Mesnil sur Oger and Avize, and 40% of the precious reserve wines of the House. It is after a rest of 4 to 5 years, in the darkness and the freshness of the cellars of Reims and under the attentive eye of Laurent Fresnet, the Cellar Master, that this 100% chardonnay cuvée can be tasted.
Technical information: This cuvée is dosed at less than 8g/l. The Blanc de Blancs blends include a small proportion of Cuve 38. This wine, made as a perpetual reserve of 100% Grands Crus de Chardonnays, is an exclusive of the House and expresses the quintessence of its know-how and originality.
Blend: 70% to 80% Grands Crus and Premiers Crus / 100% chardonnay / 40% reserve wines / Aged 4 to 5 years on lees
Dosage: less than 8g/l
