Château Latour 1971
Pauillac - Premier Grand Cru Rated
94/100 Parker
Cellaring : Can be drunk now, or collected.
Tasting Opinion by Robert Parker : "An opaque, dark garnet color with amber highlights is followed by a spectacular bouquet of dried herbs, cedar, smoky black fruits, and coffee. Rich, yet structured, with moderate tannin, this elegant yet complex medium-bodied wine possesses a sweet mid-palate in addition to a long, concentrated finish with abundant tannin. This underrated 1971 has been fully mature for over a decade, but shows no signs of cracking or attenuation." (RP in 2000).*
