A curious career for this wine, which in the space of thirty years went from the hands of a Parisian stockbroker to those of an Anglo-American financial group, living through an episode of about ten years under the leadership of the Tesseron family (owner of Pontet-Canet and Lafon-Rochet) before being sold to the Alcatel group. Its Médoc typicality became very clear at the end of the 1990s. It acquired power at the expense of finesse.
