La Fugue de Nenin is the second wine of the prestigious Château Nenin, an iconic estate in the Pomerol appellation on Bordeaux's Right Bank. Created in 1997 following the estate's acquisition by Domaines Delon (also owners of the famous Château Léoville Las Cases), this wine was designed to offer a more accessible and immediate expression of the property's great terroir. Produced primarily from vines planted on clay-sand soils, it benefits from the same meticulous care in the vineyard and cellar as the estate's flagship wine, yet undergoes a generally shorter aging period and uses a more moderate proportion of new oak barrels, allowing it to express itself fully from an early age.

On the palate, La Fugue de Nenin stands out for its charm, roundness, and luscious character, driven by a dominant Merlot profile complemented by a touch of Cabernet Franc. It is a silky, fleshy wine that unfolds with alluring aromas of ripe dark fruit (black cherry, blackberry), violet, and subtle notes of oak or chocolate. Less austere in its early years than the estate's first wine, it offers a superb introduction to the property's style and the understated elegance of Pomerol, while retaining the freshness and structure needed to age gracefully for several years.
