Tasted by Neal Martin in 2016 : "The 1989 Palmer has always been my favorite vintage of this decade after the 1983. The nose is tight with red berries, underbrush, potpourri and strawberry - bright and energetic. The palate is vibrant from the start, with a silky texture and an abundance of citrus, which builds gently to a harmonious, detailed finish that lingers on the palate. This is a gorgeous Chateau Palmer that continues to effortlessly dispense so much winemaking pleasure."
