Domaine Pierre USSEGLIO et Fils is a family wine estate. In the 1930s, a wine-growing employee of Italian origin became a sharecropper and vinified his first harvest in 1949. His son, Pierre Usseglio, enlarged the estate and passed on 25 hectares of vines - mostly in Châteauneuf-du-Pape - to his two sons, Jean-Pierre and Thierry. Domaine Pierre USSEGLIO et Fils shows once again its regularity with this important cuvée born from four grape varieties, Grenache being the majority. Dark purple with violet tints, this wine evokes black cherry on the nose. On the palate, it is distinguished by its aromatic richness: the fresh red fruit takes on stewed accents and nuances of prune in alcohol in a particularly generous atmosphere. The tannic structure guarantees good ageing potential.
