Description :
Aloxe-Corton is the birthplace of the Latour family and has been the heart of the Domaine Louis Latour for two centuries. The village is situated on a stony hillside at the foot of the Corton mountain. It was in 1862 that the name of one of the climes "Corton" was added to Aloxe. Overlooking Aloxe-Corton, the vines of Domaine Louis Latour produce a typical Aloxe-Corton.
Fermentation : Traditional in open vats, 100% malolactic.
Ageing: 10 to 12 months in oak barrels, 15% new
Tonnellerie Louis Latour barrels, French oak, medium toast
Tasting note :
With a deep ruby colour, our Aloxe-Corton "Domaine Latour" 2017 reveals a powerful nose of black cherry and liquorice. The mouth is round and elegant with melted tannins. Notes of liquorice emerge on the finish with a light woody note. Pleasant wine from now on.
Food and wine pairing : Coq au vin - fondue bourguignonne - matured cheeses
