Beaune Bressandes 1er cru 2008 - Chanson
Chanson Père et fils
Grape variety : Pinot Noir
Soil : Pebbles and sand mixed with clay
Location : This vineyard of 2 hectares, Les Bressandes, is located on the upper part of the hillside and faces East. This climate takes its name from a Canon of Beaune who owned this vineyard in the 13th century, Jean Bressand.
Vintage 2008 : After a classical beginning of the year, followed by a summer in half-tone, a cold wind settled at the beginning of September accompanied by a generous sun, which allowed the grapes to ripen quickly. The harvest took place at the end of September in order to harvest fully ripe grapes. Aged in oak barrels for 16 months.
Tasting : Deep ruby color. Very fresh aromas of blackcurrant on chocolate notes and spices and vanilla flavors. Well balanced and generous. Beautiful fruit. Nice substance. Well integrated oak and elegant tannins. Good persistence.
Food pairing : White meats, roasted meats, lamb and cheeses, especially regional cheeses (Epoisses, Citeaux) as well as some goat cheeses
