Gigondas wines are often described as rich, fleshy and structured. They are generally fuller-bodied than wines produced in the neighbouring appellation of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Gigondas wines can display a wide range of aromas, including ripe red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, black fruits such as blackberry and plum, spices such as black pepper and Provençal herbs, as well as notes of garrigue, liquorice and leather.
To fully appreciate the characteristics of Gigondas wines, we recommend serving them at a temperature of between 16°C and 18°C.
