Château Petit Gravet Ainé 2018
Saint-Émilion Grand Cru
95+/100 Parker
Cellaring: 2024 - 2044
By Lisa Perrotti-Brown in 2021: "The 2018 Petit Gravet Aîné is a blend of 80% Cabernet Franc and 20% Merlot, weighing in at 14% alcohol. Deep garnet-purple in color, it bursts from the glass with vibrant notes of kirsch, black raspberry, and stewed plum, joined by hints of lavender, tobacco leaf, and pencil shavings. The medium to full-bodied palate is juicy and full-bodied, with plenty of perfumed earth nuances to support the layers of ripe red and black berries and bags of freshness, finishing long and perfumed. This is a gorgeous, effortless Saint-Emilion! This is a small vineyard of 2.5 hectares located in the foothills of Saint-Émilion, west of Château Canon-La-Gaffelière, on deep sandy-clay soils."
