Château Côte de Baleau 1995
Grand Cru Classé of St Emilion
Cellaring : Can be drunk now.
Tasting : From the Reiffers family, who are also responsible for two other up-and-coming St-Emilions, Clos St-Martin and Grandes Murailles, this is another exceptional wine. Deep purple in colour, it exhibits cherry, plum, and currant aromas and flavors with subtle mineral and wood notes, excellent texture, medium to full body, and ripe tannins. The overall impression is of a well-defined, impeccably elegant wine with class and grace. Michel Rolland is the oenological consultant for all the Reiffer family estates.
