The Petit Faurie Soutard 2015 has a clean, pure bouquet with spicy black cherry and blueberry fruit that seems well defined and in tune with the oak. The palate is medium-bodied with lots of sweet tannins, lots of extract here leading to a slightly disgusting finish that needs more freshness, more backbone. This is a sexy Saint Emilion in every respect, but it needs to back it up with more sophistication.
