Much rounder and fruitier than the 1983, the 1982 is a very dark ruby with an intense black currant bouquet, round, generously endowed, succulent flavors, high but velvety tannins, and a fine, heady finish. Expected maturity: Now-2003. Last tasted: 1/89.
