Reviewed by Joe Czerwinski the 31st Jan 2020 : "All Marsanne grown on granitic soils, Darnaud's full-bodied 2018 Saint Joseph Blanc is a big, rich wine. It's so ripe, so round, so mouthfilling and loaded with notes of peach custard that it's hard to understand how it can also be vibrant and fresh-tasting, with notes of brine and crushed stone on the lingering finish. As with the 2017, I'm recommending that consumers drink the wine young for its opulent fruit, but this could age similarly to white Hermitage and re-blossom in another decade."
