The cherry-scented Côtes du Rhône Beatus Ille also has complex garrigue undertones, which add welcome complexity and a slightly savory connotation to the bold, fruity aromas and flavors. It is full-bodied, supple and round on the palate, with silky tannins on the liquorice, rosemary and bay leaf infused finish. It should drink well for 3-4 years.
