Château Talbot 1994
Saint-Julien - Quatrième Grand Cru Classé
It is undeniable that Talbot is one of the most famous crus of the Médoc. In the hands of the same family for a century, this estate of more than one hundred hectares produces wines renowned for the consistent quality of its vintages.
"Talbot embodies for many the ideal of Saint Julien, with a generous bouquet, very stable and safe to age," stress Bettane and Desseauve in their Grand Guide des Vins de France.
It is true, Talbot is a champion of longevity, which does not prevent it even in its very first youth from being pleasant and round, always marked by silky and smooth tannins, very civilized. Talbot, has an extroverted nature, it is never withdrawn, and has the courtesy to be in a good mood every day. It is a racy wine, with complex notes of havana and licorice, deliciously classic without ever being austere.
