AOC Gevrey-Chambertin - main appellation

 

The Domaine Thierry Mortet is located in Gevrey-Chambertin, in the heart of the village. We find it on the Côte de Nuits, more precisely between Dijon and Nuits-St-Georges.

Domaine Thierry Mortet was created in 1992 after the dissolution of Domaine Mortet Charles & Fils, and it recovered 4 hectares of vines from the former estate. In 2007, Thierry Mortet's wish was to convert the entire production to organic and biodynamic agriculture. However, he simply officialized the organic practices without necessarily having a title. The culture is always conducted through values well anchored in the respect of the environment and the vines. These techniques allow to obtain a balance in the terroir and this gives birth to healthy, typical and complex wines.
