Crozes-Hermitage White 2024 - Alain Graillot
Presentation of the cuvée : A blend of 80-20 Marsanne and Roussanne, the Crozes Hermitage Blanc is a 50-50 mix of barrel and tank fermented portions. Malolactic fermentation is blocked. It is deep golden in colour, rich, broad and honeyed on the full-bodied palate, then finishes with some white pepper and surprising zest.
Alain Graillot's Crozes-Hermitage Blanc is best served chilled, between 10 and 12°C, to fully appreciate its freshness and delicate aromas of white fruit and flowers. Decanting it about ten minutes before serving is recommended to release its nuances and complexity. This white wine from the Northern Rhône Valley is best enjoyed in relatively wide white wine glasses to allow its subtle aromas to fully develop.
As for food pairings, this Crozes-Hermitage Blanc pairs perfectly with fish in sauce, seafood, poultry, or soft cheeses. It can also be served as an aperitif to surprise your guests with its balance of freshness and structure, and is very enjoyable to drink young while also being able to age for a few years for those who wish to discover it with more maturity.
