Tasting:
- Alain Jeanniard's Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Poisets is excellent, opening in the glass with a youthful bouquet of red cherries, black currants, cinnamon, dark chocolate and some whole cluster spice on the upper register. On the palate, the wine is powerful, concentrated and rich, with firmer tannins than Jeanniard's Morey villages cuvées, and a nice racy acidity that carries through to the finish. The only missing ingredient is time, still too young.
