Gaja is an Italian wine producer from the Piedmont region, in the Langhe district, producing mainly Barbaresco and Barolo wines. It then diversified into the production of Brunello and "Super-Tuscan". Its owner and current president, Angelo Gaja, is credited with developing techniques that revolutionised winemaking in Italy, and is nicknamed as 'the undisputed king of Barbaresco' and 'the man who brought Piedmont into the modern world', whose Barbaresco wine is considered a status symbol along with the Château Lafite-Rothschild or Chateau Yquem.
