THE DOMAIN TELLS YOU ABOUT IT
"The appellation: The Beaune Premier Cru "les Sizies" is also an introduction to the Premier Crus. With our red Burgundy, it allows us to discover the style of De Montille, the stamp of the Domaine, privileging purity and elegance. "Sizie" comes from the name of the owner of the place in the 13th century, Renaud de Sessie, who owned important tanneries in Beaune.
The cuvée : This 1.62 hectare vineyard, planted on a rather clayey soil at the foot of the hillside, offers us a generous, fruity, open wine capable of delivering its potential from its first youth. It can be enjoyed without waiting too long, but will nevertheless surprise by its capacity to be kept (about 15 years).
Vineyard culture : The Domaine has been practicing organic culture since 1995. Our wines are now Ecocert certified. Since 2005, biodynamic farming has been added to these practices that respect the soil and the living world.
