The 1985 Château Quinault, from the Saint-Émilion appellation, elegantly embodies the charm of old Right Bank vintages. Made primarily from Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, it now offers a garnet-tile color and a complex bouquet blending candied red fruits, leather, blond tobacco, undergrowth, and sweet spices. On the palate, the tannins are melted, the texture supple and velvety, and the finish long and harmonious, marked by a beautiful evolving sweetness.
