Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières 2010 - Frédéric Magnien
Great Burgundy wines
The wine
Frédéric Magnien’s Meursault 1er Cru "Les Genevrières" combines the richness characteristic of this legendary Côte de Beaune terroir with the pursuit of purity for which the Morey-Saint-Denis-based winemaker is known. Sourced from iron-rich, clay-limestone soils, this wine offers a captivating aromatic complexity ; blending ripe citrus, toasted hazelnut, and white flowers ; balanced by a generous palate and a taut, saline finish. It is further elevated by a measured aging process that preserves its full mineral freshness.
2010
In the 2010 vintage ; marked by very low yields due to a difficult flowering period, followed by a beautiful "Indian summer" : Maison Frédéric Magnien has achieved a masterful success. This vintage, defined by its exceptional balance, stands out for its natural concentration of fruit and crystalline acidity.
