Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Amoureuses" 2014 - Patrice Rion
Domaine Patrice RION
Manual harvest followed by thorough sorting, fermentation in open stainless steel vats for 3 weeks, ageing in wood (50% new) for 18 months
PLACEMENT AND GEOLOGY
Located just below the Grand Cru " Musigny ", overlooking the vineyards of Vougeot. It is a tiny terroir, coming from a brown clayey soil rather thin, rich in small stones. Les Amoureuses is very clearly one of the greatest wines of the Côte d'Or. Its name alone fascinates ..
AGE OF THE VINEYARDS
Average of 40 years old
YIELD AND PRODUCTION
From 30 to 35 hl/ha for an average of 750 bottles per year.
The wines of Chambolle are first and foremost models of elegance and finesse: with a medium-coloured robe, they release voluminous aromas of raspberry, candied strawberry, violet and undergrowth. Their body is marked by fine tannins associated with softness. Not very acidic, they impose themselves by their fleshy character. The Premier Crus are more concentrated and often firmer.
