Château Trotanoy 2015
Pomerol
97/100 Parker
Rated 97 by Neal Martin, the 2014 Trotanoy stands out as a masterpiece of precision and intensity. Initially less expressive on the nose than other wines from the JP Moueix group, it gradually reveals itself with dense aromas of black fruits infused with black truffle and undergrowth, carried by a chiseled minerality. With aeration, the bouquet rapidly gains in complexity and power.
On the palate, the wine impresses with its masterful structure, exceptional purity and remarkable tension. The long, spicy finish literally vibrates with energy. This 2014 Trotanoy possesses a rare intensity and could well be the greatest Pomerol of the vintage - and according to Neal Martin, there's no doubt about it. Its peak will stretch from 2024 to 2055.
