Charles Heidsieck Brut Rosé 1985
EYE
A beautiful tiled pink glow accompanied by pearly bubbles.
NOSE
Very rich aromas announcing a structured and assertive rosé wine. The high proportion of Pinot Noir reveals notes of small red fruits: blueberry, blackberry and cherry evolving towards more complex cinnamon aromas.
PALATE
A generous, soft and round mouth. Magnificent notes of coffee. The palate surprises by its length in the mouth and its intense flavours of red fruits.
A rosé like a boudoir where a fireplace lights up the room, stories à la Barbey d'Aurevilly rhythmed by the tinkling of the glasses. Like a precious flower at the bottom of a flute, it is generous and delicate. It has kept its insolent freshness despite more than 30 years of age.
ASSEMBLY: 70% Pinot Noir - 30% Chardonnay
AVAILABLE BOTTLES: 1986
AVAILABLE BOTTLES: 300
THIS YEAR is remembered by winegrowers as a year of exceptional and optimal harvest in terms of quality despite record frosts in winter (-30°C for several days) which irreparably devastated part of the Champagne vineyards. Fortunately, splendid weather from July 1st onwards will be beneficial to the ripening of the grapes, which show a beautiful richness, especially the Pinots Noirs de Bouzy and Verzy which offer gourmet aromas and a beautiful expressiveness.
