Founded by the Nowack family generations ago, the estate combines tradition and modern expertise to craft highly elegant champagnes. Today, Flavien Nowack, supported by his father Frédéric, continues the family legacy with passion and precision. The estate spans nine hectares of vineyards, mainly Pinot Meunier, complemented by Chardonnay and a touch of Pinot Noir.
Domaine Nowack stands out for its respectful viticulture and commitment to more sustainable production. The wines are carefully vinified with slow, precise methods that showcase the terroir. Some plots are gradually converted to organic farming and indigenous yeasts are used for the second fermentation to preserve authentic aromas. This approach results in champagnes that are refined, precise, and deeply expressive of their terroir.
Among the estate’s must-try cuvées, the Champagne Nowack S.A. Extra Brut combines 60% Pinot Meunier and 40% Chardonnay to deliver an elegant bubble and a pure, lively aromatic profile. The Extra Brut “Autre Cru,” 100% Pinot Meunier, offers ripe fruit and refined structure. Les Bauchets Extra Brut Blanc de Noirs and Arpent Rouge Brut Nature showcase the unique characteristics of the vineyards with intense aromas and delicate minerality. Finally, Terres Bleues Extra Brut Blanc highlights the finesse and clarity of the terroir, while the S.A. Extra Brut Magnum is perfect for celebrations and cellaring.
The estate produces around 30,000 bottles annually, each wine reflecting the unique terroir of the Marne Valley. Parcel-specific vinification and careful aging highlight the characteristics of the soil, exposure, and vine age. The result is a range of champagnes that are pure, elegant, and sincere.
