Château Margaux 1980 : rare wine
Margaux - Premier Grand Cru Classé
The Great Wine of Château Margaux has been recognised, since the 17th century, as one of the greatest wines in the world.
It owes its unique qualities to the genius of its terroir and the passionate work of a succession of generations.
SERVICE
Traditionally, the great red Bordeaux wines are served "chambrés" i.e. at room temperature (about 18-19°C). Above this temperature, the nose loses its finesse and the alcohol overwhelms the delicate scents of the bouquet, or even the fruit of young wines; the tannins appear less fleshy and drier. When the temperature is too low, the aromas are difficult to release and the wine appears duller and shorter.
