Château Cheval Blanc 2001
Saint-Emilion - First Grand Cru Rated
95/100 James Suckling
Cellaring: Now or keep for decades.
Tasting by James Suckling : This is perhaps better than the 2000. I drank it again recently and it is so rich and beautiful. Beautifully textured, with cedar and chocolate. Full, velvety tannins with sweet tobacco and meat with dried plums. Firm and chewy, but tight and reserved. So young. Decant two hours before serving. Drink or keep."
