Cornas 2009 Chaillot - Thierry Allemand
Old Rhone vintages in stock
94/100 Parker
When to drink this wine? A mature wine - can be drunk now.
Tasted by Jeb Dunnuck in 2013: "The 2009 Cornas Chaillot is an exciting wine that has done it all. Inky purple in colour and offering notions of sweet cassis, liquid violet, liquefied herbs, graphite and crushed stone, it flows onto the palate with a supple, powerful texture that carries layers of fruit, solid acidity and soft, but not insubstantial, tannins on the finish. Superb in every sense of the word and much more approachable than the Reynard, this glorious Cornas will nonetheless be delicious for over two decades."
