Tasted by Jeb Dunnuck in 2015: "If the Cote Blonde gives me a hint of concern, I have no such reservations with the 2013 Cote Rotie Cote Brune, which comes from a parcel once owned by Marius Gentez, replanted by René in 2000. Initially expressive and aromatically complex, with sensational notes of black fruits, plums, violets, peach pit and orange blossom, this beauty hits the palate with richness, a loaded mid-palate and plenty of tannin, suggesting it will benefit from short-term cellaring. This beauty will have a longevity of 20 to 25 years."
