The Cuvée

Sourced from the estate’s oldest Chenin Blanc parcel—planted in 1964 atop the limestone (*tuffeau*) slopes—"Le Blanc Clos" is an exceptional, rare, and exclusive cuvée. This historic site, once enclosed by *tuffeau* stone walls (of which a few remnants still stand), yields a wine of remarkable purity. The parcel-specific vinification is executed with meticulous precision: whole-cluster pressing, with only the "heart" of the press juice selected; complete alcoholic fermentation to ensure a bone-dry, focused white wine; and an extended aging period in large casks (*foudres*) and 500-liter barrels on fine lees.

On the palate, this sophisticated gastronomic wine displays a masterful balance between power and tension. The nose reveals a complex bouquet of white-fleshed fruits (peach, pear), citrus, and acacia blossoms, underscored by a chalky, saline minerality—a hallmark of Chinon’s limestone terroirs. On the palate, the wine is ample, dense, and velvety, buoyed by a vibrant freshness that carries through to a finish marked by subtle notes of fresh almond and flint.

The 2022 Vintage

The 2022 vintage was defined by a warm, early-ripening profile; a hot, dry summer allowed the Chenin grapes to reach optimal maturity by the end of August. Thanks to the deep root systems of these 60-year-old vines, the estate was able to preserve a brilliant, natural freshness and a perfect balance, ensuring the wine remains entirely free of any heaviness. This carefully managed harvest has given rise to a very limited edition of just 2,250 numbered bottles, resulting in a 2022 vintage that is luscious, generous, and exceptionally well-suited for long-term cellaring.
