The Caillets : Through this name, the winegrowers wanted to pay tribute to Frédéric Caillet, the great-grandfather who bought the wine estate in Tupin et Semons in 1928.
Soil: granite.
Grape variety : 100 % viognier (white grape variety). Manual harvest.
Maturing : aged on fine lees for 7 months in barrels and vats.
Food and wine pairing : You will be able to spend a pleasant moment tasting this Condrieu with Scallops and a mushroom tatin or with a poultry stir-fry with cream of peppers.
Tasting advice : With its aromatic notes, the Condrieu is also perfect as an aperitif. In order to keep the fruitiness of the viognier as much as possible, open your bottle within the first 5 years of its life.
Comments of Benjamin and David Duclaux : "Our goal is to offer a Condrieu with the aromatic finesse of the viognier and a beautiful balance in the mouth.
