Characteristics of the cuvée:
"It is a wine that can be approached simply, without the complications or detours of other more feminine crus" J.F. Bazin.
It is the younger brother of the Grands Échezeaux, which also offers good competition, but with its own personality and muscular character, punctuated by beautiful textures.
The wines that are produced from these limestone vines are the earliest and least complex of the estate. Domaine de La Romanée-Conti's Échezeaux Grand Cru is certified organic.
When all the conditions are right and generous, the average annual production can reach 16,000 bottles, on a surface of 5 ha. For this vintage, the production was 16 566 bottles.
