Gevrey Chambertin 2018 - Mongeard Mugneret
Character of the wine : The wines of Gevrey-Chambertin have a deep colour and a beautiful aromatic expression. The young wines offer notes of blackcurrant and red or black fruit, liquorice, accentuated by partial ageing in new oak barrels. Aromas of fur, musk, spicy vanilla and havana come together when the wine has matured. These rather powerful, fine and solid wines have a well-balanced and well-structured structure. Its bouquet, its finesse, its trumpeting name, were they not famous enough, had Napoleon I not adopted it as his favourite drink?
