Domaine Jean Chauvenet

"Our vocation is to express the finesse and freshness of Pinot Noir and its subtle aromas".

Founded by Jean Chauvenet in 1964, the estate is now managed by Christine and Christophe Drag since his retirement. The 9.5 hectare family wine estate produces superb Nuits-Saint-Georges wines, particularly the exceptional Vaucrains. A great care is assured and like the great Nuits-Saint-Georges wines, they find fulfilment after about ten years. The annual production of the Domaine Jean Chauvenet is around 35,000 bottles.

Domaine Jean Chauvenet has only one rule for the production of its wines: the respect of the expression of each of the terroirs for different wines. The family has been honouring its vines and its terroir by practising sustainable viticulture since 1994. Thus, the use of phytosanitary products is limited to the maximum.

The 9.5 hectare estate covers 9 different appellations, including 7 Premier Crus of Nuits-Saint-Georges. Produced from a single grape variety of Pinot Noir, the estate's wines reveal finesse and elegance supported by a beautiful structure that underlines their great ageing potential.
